Your pup did their thing – now it’s your turn! Here’s how to deal with the doodoo, the green way:

• 🐶 Dog poo compost bin: Pop the whole bag (poo included) into a dedicated dog poo composting bin. Great for non-edible plants!
• ♻️ Industrial composting: Take it to a composting facility that accepts pet waste – not all do, so double check first.
• 🚽 Flush it! Empty the poo from the bag and flush it (yep, it’s safe). Then compost the empty bag in your home or council bin.
• 🌿 Bury it: Dig a deep hole away from veggie gardens and water sources, then bury the whole bag + poo. The Earthworms will love you.
• ♻️ Industrial composting: Take it to a composting facility that accepts pet waste – not all do, so double check first.
• 🗑️ Bin it (as a last resort): If none of the above work, household bin it is. Still better than plastic!

We’re proud to share that we’ve been verified by two big players in the eco-friendly world. TUV Austria and BPI are independent certification bodies who have awarded our poop bags some important certifications to PROVE that we mean business.

Did you know they are two different things? It’s ok if you don’t not many people do, but don’t worry, we’ve got you! And we’re here to let you know the difference.

Biodegradable means the materials will break down over time but sometimes they can still contain all the toxic crap that isn’t good for the environment. To us that just isn’t good enough so we’ve made sure our poop bags are compostable too –

Compostable means they break down into non-toxic, natural elements in a composting environment, turning into nutrient-rich soil without leaving any harmful residues. Seriously Zola Zola Dog poo bags are made from Cornstarch and don’t contain any hidden nasties, but it’s easy for anyone to say that so we’ve gone one step further to show we have the cred.
